Cru

I am on staff full time with Cru at Northern Illionis University.  I graduated from NIU in 2011.  I was invovled with Cru while attending NIU, and the experience was such a life giving experience.  I experienced so much growth in my relationship with the Lord, my heart for sharing the Lord with others, and in community with others who walked alongside me.  I feel very blessed to be involved in this ministry.

Cru is a branch of Campus Crusade for Christ, a world wide mission organization.  We are a community of people passionate about sharing the love of Jesus.  Our heart is to love people the way Jesus loved us.  We truly believe that God’s heart is to reach those who do not know Him and He is calling us to be a part of that.

My passion is for college students.  There is a huge need for the truth and love of  Jesus in college campuses today.  Young adults are seeking to find their purpose in  life.  They desire truth and satisfaction.  That can only be found in Jesus.

Romans 10:14 says “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”

Our heart is to introduce people to Jesus and show them what it looks like to have a personal relationship with Him, build a community of people who are seeking to live for Him, and equip them to continue to grow their relationship with Him and share that with others.

I am so excited to be a part of the work that Christ is doing in young adults today at NIU.  God is living and active.  He desires to be known by his people.  He is changing hearts and lives.  He loves the unlovable, forgives the unforgivable, and saves the unworthy. Praise the Lord that He came to seek and to save those who were lost.
